United States

What would you like the youth of America to know?

One of the great lessons you can learn about our Government is that every citizen has an opportunity and a responsibility to participate. Elected representatives listen carefully to citizens as they cast votes and make decisions, and your views are important to me. I want to hear your opinions and ideas as we work to build a brighter future for your generation.

What they sent me:
I'm biased of course and I'm supposed to be toward my own country, but there is nothing more exciting than getting a big envelope with "THE WHITE HOUSE" in the return address. When he was still in office, I received a wonderful response from President Barack Obama, and I'll admit, I did a little screaming about it. (I have a letter into President Trump and will post anything I receive from him).

President Obama sent a great package along with a personalized letter answering my question by saying how important it is for every citizen, especially young people, to get involved in their country.

UPDATE:
The week before he left office, President Obama sent me another letter! It was very unexpected and very much appreciated! I hope our new president cares for our youth this much as well. ♥

Here is the original letter, the brochures, and autographed photographs that the White House sent me. Could I love the postcards of the First Dogs any more? (No, no I could not.)

The United States is a federal republic composed of 50 states and a federal district -- the capital Washington, D.C. Located in North America in the Western Hemisphere, the U.S. has coasts on both the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean, and is the third largest country in the world in terms of land size and population with over 3,500,000 square miles and a population of over 322 million.

The United States has the world's largest national economy by nominal and real GDP thanks in part to its abundance of natural resources and is one of the world's largest manufacturers.

The motto of the country is "In God We Trust."

Just like with France and the United Kingdom, the United States also has many overseas territories including Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. (Thank you to Wikimedia's KronosLine for the map below.)
